Space Invaders Project

This project was created as an assignment, which went fairly well. We had to re-create Space Invaders but put a twist on it.

My twist was just a simple power up that allows you to shoot faster as I wanted to focus on the core of the game. I learned a lot about the process of creating a game from the ground up. If I had more time I would have implemented global high-scores as well as more fleshed out power-ups and added boss levels. I may re-visit the source code at a later date to add these changes.

But overall I was happy with the look and feel of the game, but was left wanting more from the overall game play.
